Hey Everyone! It’s Zeineddine again back with another blog post and another Film Festival nod! While I’ve been busy with the school year, we haven’t entered in as many film festivals for consideration compared to last year. But this Film Festival was one we were hoping to get recognized by as it’s our 2nd festival who’s selected us where their theme is centered around faith. Anyhow, my family and I are super grateful to be nominated by Faith in Film for their Best Short Film category. And while our film didn’t get the win, it’s still important for our film to be acknowleged by various faiths in the U.S. and throughout the world. Read more below on the history of the festival!
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The Faith in Film International Film Festival and Screenwriting Competition is a boutique film festival and screenwriting competition that takes place in historic downtown Tucson, Arizona.
Their mission is to forge a film festival and screenwriting competition that will ultimately launch the careers of faith based writers and filmmakers and facilitate established artists in transitioning into inspirational films.
THEIR PROGRAMS
Faith in Film rewards screenwriters with various prizes, including consultation packages provided by Roadmap Writers that include sessions with script notes provided by top industry professionals. Their grand prize winner is given three consultations including at least one hour consultation with script notes. And the top two finalists also receive one consultation each.
They also award their best of the fest filmmaker with a consultation package as well that includes a session with a top talent manager or development executive as well.
Moving forward all winners will also be awarded credit and recognition on IMDB!
So as you can see, if you have a faith-based film, it’d be a good idea to submit yours here! It’s a niche market but rewarding on many levels, including restoring the faith in the Hollywood industry.
