Hey Everyone it’s Zeineddine here – Exciting News – my film The Lost Jews of Pakistan is a finalist at the New York International Film Awards (NYIFA) for Best Short Documentary for their 2023 July Edition! It’s been an amazing journey showing how people from different religions can connect. My movie is all about how care, even for the dead of a long lost community in Pakistan, can make a great impact. I also wanted to prove that we’re more alike than we think.
NYIFA liked the idea too! Movies are like magic, helping us understand new things. In my film, I wanted to show that even with different beliefs, we care about the same stuff and principles, as well as caring for the people who have passed. This is a necessary step in understanding the history of minorities who once called Pakistan, “a home”.
Being a NYIFA finalist is like a dream. It means my movie is making a difference. I’m ready to make more films that get people talking and understanding each other. This NYIFA ride has been mind-blowing. I’m so honored that I could be a part of it and I can’t wait to keep making films that bring us closer. Let’s keep spreading love and understanding!

IMDb Qualifier NYIFA® • New York International Film Awards is a Monthly Film and Script Competition with a public Screening Event held in the very heart of Manhattan, New York City every three months. Their Mission is to celebrate films and filmmakers from all over the world and to be the next step in their career.
WHAT’S NEXT?
Every three months, some of the Best Short films of the year will be chosen by the Jury to be screened during our public Screening Event at Producer’s Club, a five-minute walk from Times Square, in New York City.
I hope our film will be screened this year so check up on our blog for an update on that!
